IJA REGIONAL COMPETITION (IRC) BRASIL
INTRODUÇíO
O Campeonato internacional da IJA (IRC) é um programa executado pela Associação internacional de malabaristas (IJA). O programa tem dois objetivos principais. O primeiro é cultivar uma relação positiva entre a IJA e a cena internacional de malabaristas e trazer malabaristas internacionais de alto nível para o festival anual da IJA. O segundo é premiar números de malabarismo apresentados no palco que entretêm e são comercializáveis a uma vasta plateia.
A IJA está muito animada por anunciar o primeiro IRC-Brasil, que acontecerá na 14ª Convenção Brasileira de Malabarismo e Circo, em São João del Rei, MG.

QUEM PODE COMPETIR
O IRC-Brasil é aberto para competidores a partir de 18 anos com números solo. Os competidores devem ter um número de malabarismo preparado e polido, utilizando qualquer tipo de dispositivo malabarístico ou estilo de manipulação, com no máximo 8 minutos de duração. Os juízes considerarão a qualidade de execução do número, entretenimento, dificuldade, elaboração teatral (Theatrical Framing), criatividade, risco e presença de palco, e determinarão notas para cada categoria.

1º lugar –
- Grande prêmio: Uma viagem para os Estado Unidos, para comparecer ao IJA Festival 2013, tendo a oportunidade de competir ou se apresentar *

* O grande prêmio depende da IJA conseguir fundos para arcar com as despesas de viagem e do vencedor obter visto para entrar nos Estados Unidos.

THE INTERNATIONAL JUGGLERS’ ASSOCIATION
IJA REGIONAL COMPETITION – BRAZIL
INTRODUCTION
The IJA Regional Competition (IRC) is a program run by the International Jugglers’ Association (IJA). This program has two main goals. The primary goal is to cultivate and enhance positive relationships between the IJA and the international juggling community, and bring top international juggling talent to the annual IJA Festival. The secondary goal is to reward high-level juggling acts from around the world that are entertaining and marketable to a broad audience.
The IJA is excited to announce the first ever IRC – Brazil, to be held at “Conveção Brasileira de Malabares a Circo” – the national Brazilian circus convention in São João del Rey, Minas Gerais.

Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Conveção Brasileira de Malabares a Circo in São João del Rei, MG, Brazil.
WHO CAN COMPETE
The IRC-Brazil is open to solo competitors 18 years of age and older. Competitors must have a prepared and polished juggling routine utilizing any props and style of manipulation, no longer than 8 minutes in length. Judges consider the quality of execution, entertainment, difficulty, theatrical framing, creativity, risk, and stage presence, and issue scores for each category.

* The Grand Prize is dependent on the IJA acquiring funding for flight expenses, and on the winner obtaining a US Visa.
RULES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETING
The registration deadline for competitors is October 14, 2012, and requires the submission of an on-line video of each competition routine, via YouTube.

Erin Stephens
Erin Stephens currently lives in Burkina Faso, Africa and is performing with Yennega Circus. She has been an active organizer within the IJA for over 10 years, having been a founding member of the IJA Regional Competitions, Tricks of the Month video series, eJuggle, and has spearheaded the IJA social media platforms since 2012.
