La Fundación Casa de la Música ubicada en Quito – Ecuador fue el lugar destinado para realizar Los “Tricks of the month – Ecuador – Marzo 2016”, allí Caetano León del colectivo Circo Cebra, Diego Marcillo de la Compañía Circómico, Álvaro Soto de Circo Social Quito, Melissa Coulardet Artista independiente y Adrián Martínez de Jugglar producciones, demuestran sus habilidades con diversas técnicas del malabar. La idea original y producción del video estuvo a cargo de: la Compañía Circómico quienes llevan más de 5 años en Quito con la tienda de malabares, realizando eventos, creando y circulando obras de circo-teatro; y Jugglar Producciones quien lleva 10 años dedicado al malabarismo y 4 años a la creación y difusión de videos de arte y malabar. Este video se creó con el propósito de posicionar al Ecuador en la escena mundial del malabar y que éste sea un precedente que permita promover la práctica de este arte en todo el país. ¡Que viva el circo!
“Fundación Casa de la Música” in Quito, Ecuador was the place chosen to perform “Tricks of the month – Ecuador – March 2016.” In the video, the artists Caetano León from Circo Cebra collective, Diego Marcillo from Compañía Circómico, Álvaro Soto from Circo Social Quito, Melissa Coulardet, an independent artist, and Adrián Martinez from Jugglar producciones demonstrate their skills using various juggling techniques. The original idea and production for the video was executed by Compañía Circómico and Jugglar Producciones. Circómico is a group that runs a Juggling Store in Quito and has been holding juggling events and performing circus-theatre plays for the past 5 years in Ecuador and other countries. Jugglar Producciones has spent the last 10 years dedicated to juggling and has been creating and sharing juggling art videos since 2011. This video was created with the purpose of positioning Ecuador on the world juggling scene and setting a precedent for promoting the practice of this art throughout the country. ¡Long live the circus!
